blue flatworm
Flatworms belong to the Phylum Platyhelminthes, which means "Flatworms."
A flatworm's digestive system is usually quite similar to that of a cnidarians: food goes into a gut from the mouth, then gets digested, and whatever the excess is comes back out through the mouth. Sometimes the gut is more complex, to provide more surface area for absorbing nutrients, but it rarely has any other organs involved with it.
